Diablo 3 Release Date in Early 2012

Posted by Murdoc - September 23, 2011 5

Sometimes on the official Diablo 3 community site, upcoming posts sometimes appear in the navigation to the right before they actually get posted officially. Luckily, someone took a screenshot of the leaked post, called “Soon Was Too Soon — Diablo 3 III to Arrive in Early 2012″. This kind of confirms that the game is not coming out in 2011, but in early 2012. Take a look at the screenshot and see for yourself.

Update: It’s official that Diablo 3 is coming out in 2012, by Blizzard Entertainment CEO Mike Morhaime.

Mike Morhaime: We commonly use the term “soon” when referring to Blizzard releases, because we know that no matter how hard we’re working to reach a target, we’re not going to compromise and launch a game before it’s ready. For Diablo III, we were aiming to launch by the end of 2011. As we’re announcing globally today, our new target for the game is early 2012.

Nemesis created a thread on the official Diablo 3 forum and linked these two screenshots. I haven’t seen these before, so take a look at them below.

Nemesis: Looks cool, but these armors make the barbarian look more like a knight rather than a brute savage warrior. Doesn’t look very barbarian to me…

What do you guys think? Does it feel like those armor sets belong to a Barbarian or a Paladin?
